I can see a gap in the front as seen in the pic, but looking under the car, it seems all the screws are installed on the underside?

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Incorrect. It was never pounded into place properly

No, don't drive it very fast and get it back to the dealer assuming this is a new car. Those are plastic fasteners that are installed through a panel in the wheel well and they are missing or installed correctly.

ugh... can I pound it into place myself?

new car, 3 months old. The screws I see at the bottom are plastic fasteners? I’m not sure I understand the part about going through the wheel well

Dont mess with it, just take it in. If you mess with it and something snaps that's grounds for them to deny or put blame on you. I changed my splitter out with no issue but I had everything fine from get go, I would be weary messing with it if it wasn't perfect from get go, something could be missing or off.

imo just easier to take it in 5 minutes, tell them, let them document and make them fix.

I shouldn’t need to go through my salesmen would I? Just call the service department?

Yes, call the service department.
Would any ford dealer do it? I have some closer to me than the one I bought it from

your warranty is good at any dealer. they just take photos and submit it to ford, within week they will have the answer. or they may just put on a lift and fix on spot if they have a free tech/lift.

mines not a Shelby, but my baby boost, I bought in Montana knowing there was a few issues with it, I drove it back to ohio, went into dealer next day 5 minutes down road, had a plethora of things fixed, including new battery etc- 100% under warranty. like 1k in parts lol. They get paid regardless for the hours/parts to fix it. I think they just bill ford.- it may be a discounted rate though compared to if we had to pay for work to be done.

as long as its a ford dealer, it can be serviced/fixed.

Mine was installed improperly and it came undone at 80 MPH and scraped on the ground destroying the splitter. My dealer fessed up, got a new one and installed it correctly. The center section of the spoiler is held on by plastic push pins that are installed by removing a panel at the front of the wheel well and sticking your hand in there. If your spoiler is hanging down, chances are the pins were not properly pressed into place and have fallen out. You are seconds away from a disaster causing a lot more damage if you break the bumper plastic itself.

^hes correct. I saw pics of a guy who installed wrong splitter on his car or wasn't fully seated, and he had his split down the front. but even if that happened- its under warranty for improper from ford.

I'd drive it right to ford, right into the service bay and they will start the claim on spot. I never call ahead, I just drove my car right into the garage bay/service bay drop off. they ask why, then they come out with a computer, scan the vin, take my concern and then tell me what they are doing.

I think the consensus here is, drive it to ford- try to avoid highway if possible or go a little slower than usual. its not fully held on, so I wouldn't do any excessive speed pulls. wind exponentially gets stronger as mph increases.

edit. for such an expensive model you would think the QC would of caught that ya know? I could see it on the cheapest model, but would figure a white glove would go over every panel of the Shelby cars.

It's installed at PDI. If the tech doing the PDI doesn't know how to do it, they'll get it wrong every time.

It’s really not hard to do this yourself, tedious, but not hard. If you’re not confident then I’d say dealer or maybe reach out to any local gt350 club/owner that would probably help you out in a heartbeat.

Your are assuming the pins are still there which in all likely hood they are not. Let Ford fix it under warranty and that way they are responsible for any damage or future failure.

Taking it in this weekend hopefully, wasn't able to this last weekend

That's terrifying! I felt below, it didn't feel like there were any angle screws that were put in.

Does anyone have a link to the ford videos for proper installation, i can't seem to find them agian
