Is my splitter installed incorrectly?

It is not fully seated. Mine looked the say way. I used the mallet and paper towel roll and knocked the shit out of it. Click, click, click, fully seated with no gap. Your's is not properly seated and fully secured.

The dealership guy is flat out wrong.
Did you take off the splitter, then reinstall, or just take the mallet as was to fully seat?

I checked that all of the fasteners were in place which they were. So I wacked it to fully seat the splitter. I did not remove it.

3:02 mark of this video. I prefer a mostly used roll of shop towels vs the rag used in the video. They seem to add a little more protection.
