The answer to the soon expiring cash back incentives is quite simple. If your special ordered retail unit has been built and is shipped & in transit, simple have your Dealership complete the P & A Agreement using the last date of the Promotion. Sure, you will give up a few days or week or so of the 3 year 36K Warrantee but a small price to pay to pocket between $750 to $1250 savings. I wouldn`t chance leaving that amount of cash, "on the table"!
Unfortunately I'm at the short end of the stick here. Just placed my order and the coupon expires May 15

For those who asked. I found this old post and copied and pasted it. I hope it helps.

My dealer got my $750 EAA certificate accepted by Protection Program. He e mailed order protection hq as per my request, they asked for the VIN of the vehicle I am purchasing, name, address, and order date and they accepted it. He then tried to get the $500 switch incentive protected which is unnecessary because it's not expired.

This was the explanation from Order Protection HQ on how the program works.

The way incentive protection works is we protect the total amounts of rebates at the time of order, then at the time of delivery if the customer does not have the same total available then we would make-up the difference.

For example at the time of order the customers total amount of rebates is $5000.

At the time of Delivery the total amount of rebates available to the customer is $4000, incentive protection will authorize your claim for $1000, to make-up the difference.

I originally forwarded him the EAA Certificate when I got it and explained the Incentive Protection Program but when I got to the dealership on Monday he told me he couldn't find the Program number in the system as a valid offer at the time I placed my order. I told him I wasn't going to argue with him over $750 but I would show him that it was. I showed him the e mails between myself and program hq stating it was valid at the time of order. I showed him this thread and he told me to e mail him the information and he would make sure I got all of the incentives I was eligible for. He copied me on all of his correspondence between he and order protection to show he was doing everything he could for me.

My car is sitting in the rail yard waiting for a convoy to the dealership. I used x plan, got $1250 in incentives and I got a lower interest rate from the dealership than Ford's special financing. I got less on my trade because last week a lady hit a shopping cart with her car into mine and called the police, stupid bitch filed an insurance claim and the police filled out an accident report. Carfax listed it as a front end collision even though the accident report states that it was a shopping cart and I didn't go through insurance. The dealership knew I was telling the truth because they saw the report was filed 4 days prior and they already test drove my car and inspected it, they knew it wasn't in a front end collision. Regardless of the facts a bad Carfax report significantly lowers trade value, they offered me 6k for my trade and I said no deal, got them up to $7335. I am so furious with Carfax for screwing my trade value with a false report of a front end collision that I am thinking of taking them to small claims court for the 5k maximum in Florida for the trade in loss. I doubt they'd show in court.

PonyGrrl is correct. I have heard that program protection works. Since my special ordered 2015 Mustang Convertible was only days away from arriving, I simply chose to have my P & A Agreement written up showing the last day of the promotion offer as the delivery date to avoid any possible future dispute. I was willing to forfeit a week of Warrantee coverage to lock in the additional $1,250 in Cash Back savings. Just like Holiday Inn used to advertise, "The best surprise is (no) surprise"!

Incentive Protection is still offered by Ford. I've processed quite a few and had one approved by Ford today, as a matter of fact.

I called about a month ago asking how I could get a rebate and the rep just said the decision is based on "market research" which seems like a canned response they are told by higher ups to tell customers. Wouldn't me telling them that I'll be ordering in May be the best "market research" they could get? :shrug:

Just an update guys for those with the private cash but they are expiring before delivery. I spoke to ford motor credit and they advised me that the dealership/sale man must speak to their marketing depart./rep to request the coupon be honor. If they so happen not to have the number for marketing they can ask the BDM rep for it

No, exactly the opposite! Once they know that you are a committed buyer, why do they need to induce you to make the purchase? There is no need to provide the "Carrot" when they already know your intentions of ordering a S550 later in the month anyway, got it?

Oh i know they cant be combined.. but an extra 250 off is pretty nice

I got my dealer to cover my $750. They said if ford wouldn't honor it, they would take $750 more off the sale price.

I got locked into the $500 rebate, the $750 lease rebate and am trying to get the $750 Ford Private Cash. I have gotten many brochures to e-mails, different addresses, etc with no luck. That extra $750 makes a huge difference on my 24 month lease payment and I even called Ford with no luck, but others are getting it? Ford please help!!! I'm about 10 days from delivery!

There is a number floating around you can call to try and get the $$. I have read about it on other forums. I wont be buying the car until I get it as it will cancel out my dealers advertisement fee. The fact that other ppl are getting the cash is bogus if I cant manage to get it too.
