thanks for the great info here! I just signed up for a brochure and EAA, but before I spend the $40, I think I will run it past my dealer first....worst case I have the $500 student discount.
Also, I got the car well under invoice without x-plan, so hopefully they will honor a brochure discount, assuming I receive it.

How did you apply for the student discount? Can it be combined with the student discount and does the former work for the 2015's?

You're right, I just checked online, but I am buying a 2015 and my dealer is letting me use it. In fact, he is the one that told me about it. All I had to do was send him a copy of my Fall 2014 schedule. Also, the week before, I was at a different dealership and he said I could use it.

As of November 4th, they have added the $500 college student rebate on 2015 models, so you should be fine.

Anyone else have problems signing up for EAA membership? I keep getting "There was an error processing the membership details. Please contact customer service" Maddening, my car arrived early and I pick it up tomorrow!

I wouldnt mind ^2. LOL. Sorry, I meant I was wondering if i could combine the student discount with X Plan and possibly the 750 EAA or 750 brochure rebate.

Anyone know if they can 'lock in' stuff like the EAA rebate before delivery? I'm worried I'm going to get screwed by the union holiweeks and it will expire.

Nope.

If you get an EAA x-plan pin, that's good for 12 months from the time you get it, but the rebate is a pumpkin at 1/3/15.

But you just need to spam Ford for brochures when you get close to production. If you get enough brochures (keep requesting different ones every few days), you'll get one with the same $750 off eventually.

I took me a bit to get my first one, but now I have 3 of them. Although I used my EAA rebate, since I already had that.

Anyone get and or use the $1000 for current lease "capture" toward a new Ford in the mail? It claims to be "above and beyond many public incentives". It also came with up to $29K financing "pre-approval". The fine print states that it is for current leasers and toward purchase or lease of a "qualifying" Lincoln or Ford. Must take new retail delivery before 1/5/15. The only current Mustang that is not qualifying is the 50-year edition.

I do lease my current DD, a BMW 335i and it is over in February. My Mustang is currently due 12/6. This might work!
