I had disconnected the battery the other day and that didn't work. That would be just like pulling the fuse I would think.
I thought the same thing, but nothing short of pulling the fuse ever fixes my Bluetooth, had to do it twice since I got the car a year ago

Is this actually Sync 3? Or is it an upgrade in anyway over the base SYNC that comes on the car? (it's not very good and I'm looking to upgrade).

This isn't SYNC 3 OEM, just a UI that mimics SYNC 3. It is just a upgrade over the base SYNC 4''.

Ah, I see. Is it comparable to SYNC 3? Or at the least, is it a noticeable upgrade over the base SYNC?

I'm less concerned with the Navigation as I am with the touch screen functionality itself and the bluetooth/voice command.

Some people have mentioned a few bugs, but I don't think there is anything serious wrong with it. I don't have it personally.

The biggest improvement is the screen; assuming you're coming from a 4" base screen. If you already have an 8" screen because you purchased a premium mustang, then this would be a downgrade for you. If you have the sh*tty 4" screen that some of us have/had then this is a major improvement. I bought on the first batch months ago and I am extremely happy with it. Aesthetically its much more pleasing and if you're the type to use navigation then its also a nice upgrade. I dont use nav, I just wanted the larger screen to make the interior look better. Between this and my Katzkin interior, I'm extremely happy with the interior now.

I absolutely do have the shitty 4" base screen haha. Did you notice any difference in the blue tooth connectivity and the voice commands?

Not really. You'll still have issues at times since you're using the same Sync module. Think of it as keeping an desktop and simply buying a kick-azz monitor to go with it.

Nothing changes with the voice commands, but SYNCs voice changes from the Siri sounding voice to a British ladies voice.

Sweet thanks! How do you like it so far? any problems with it?
Works great, just make sure that you get the original apple adapter. Only issue I've noticed is that the volume sometimes gets set to 0 when you plug in the phone.

That did the trick! You were right, disconnecting the battery didn't work. I did what you said started the car and then pulled the #32 fuse. Then I shut the car off for a few minutes and restarted the car then put the fuse back it. Now it's working again. The SYNC must hold a charge because disconnecting the battery should have worked. I know now. Thank you for your help
