No wifi in this. Updates are done via the Micro SD card slot where the navigation sd card is. We have a new update coming out next week and then another a little further away. Newest update is adding screen brightness settings as well as time zone adjustments as that was left out last update accidentally. That should be out within a week. All units should be coming with that as we will be installing them on units before shipping we are hoping. If not the update is very easy and takes 5-10 minutes to do.

BTW, I am also very interested in getting one of these; the base radio is the ugliest part of the interior.

So to update, we have to completely open everything back up and take the card out correct?

In Moddiction unit, the SD card (with the GPS Nav software) is in the top left corner of the back of the unit (i.e. - to update GPS software, you must partially disassemble the dash to get to the SD card); the harness for the front SD card slot has been removed.

I have one of these units from the first batch.

Made myself a quasi screen saver type video

I have about 20 videos loaded on my usb stick and play them regularly on my Moddiction 8" screen unit but every once in awhile would just like a calming tune and some nice scenic pics so made myself a screen saver type video in the tropical theme for my drives around my home state of Florida.

they didnt, its made in china they infringe logos and trademarks to make knock-offs
