Question: Are any of you having any issues with the far right side of the screen (say the first 3/8-1/2") being unresponsive. Mine does not register if I touch the screen here, although I have recalibrated the screen at least a dozen times over the last few weeks to try and remedy. Not that big a deal unless there's a button/slider that falls in that first 3/8-1/2".

Thanks,
Joe

Not exactly sure what you are asking, if you have the base sync system with 4" screen the Moddiction unit will upgrade it to an 8" screen.

Moddiction unit menus:

Audio : allows one to play music or videos via various inputs sources, namely the units aux usb cable.

Climate : allows one to control various aspects but not all of the cars climate control functions.

Sync : allows one to use the cars sync system to play music or make phone calls via a connected phone or cars usb port.

Nav : A fully loaded navigation software with many bonus features, software and map upgrades may be coming in future.

Apps: allows one to use various apps

Settings: allows one to control various settings of the unit

The unit as I understand uses sync 3 emulation software, updates can be done via the units aux usb cable and the cost is currently $599, not sure is forum discount is still active or not.

Keep in my this is just my ramblings, I am not associated with the company and can't guarentee all the info is correct.

Terry :)

Using Nextgen software, I cannot add a destination that contains 'P'.

Does the P work when its part of the street name? Just curious if that button is dead.

Good thing you can't type in Pittsburgh.... Nobody should go there anyways. Lol, I kid.

'P' shows up if part of street name; I just can't type it in because is too far to the right.

As far as Pittsburgh goes, as a Philly boy, I agree. Although I can't go home again, either.... :-(

I have not checked this page in a while but has there been an update posted yet for this system fixing some of the small issues?

What if you click further to the right when calibration? I.e. Don't click on the + when calibrating, click to the right of the + instead

Just wondering what that would do!

While that is a stellar idea, I just tried it; will only move to next target if you tap the center of the cross-hair. If you tap further to the right, it does nothing.

Let's see if HW or SW issue... in the map view, in you tap on the same spot, does the map react?

If it does is a SW issue with your NextGen. You can try a different resolution or a different version.

If it doesn't can be calibration as pointed, but also HW (screen). Try Primo and see if it works.

Keep us posted.

If I touch map in Nextgen in same spot, it doesn't react. I tried a different resolution so I could 'grab' the button in lower right. If I touch the same spot in the core software, like the sliders in audio settings, it also does not react.

Primo works OK because the 'p' is sufficiently to the left.

I think there is a HW issue with the screen.

I can type "P" and many other letters :headbonk:
Using NextGen
apparently, I live on one of those alternate Earths, on which the English language only has 25 letters in the alphabet...
