Initially my time was off as well, after the third time of messing around with the time zones it has been correct ever since.

The you definitely don't want to apply this update; mine was keeping time fine but update made me have the issues in the above video.

We will be getting more units but unfortunately software update is taking longer than expected. Should have a new software update to test on Monday.

I have not followed this thread in a bit but has the update ever come out to fix the clock and other issues?

Sort of. The latest update I allows the unit to use the GPS' time, which take about 20 seconds to display correctly, due to the GPS booting up. I'm not a fan of having to have my GPS run all the time. It does slow the unit down some.

Yup the GPS slows everything down which I brought up when I bought the unit. So no real updates. Maybe I should switch to a Raxiom

It is pretty much the same unit, with a different skin. It has time issues as well. That is why I haven't bought any of them. I'll stick with base radio for now.

Tomtop clock is fine, set an hour ahead and it works perfect.

LOL, that's sort of a contradiction, isn't it? If the clock was fine, you wouldn't have to set it an hour ahead; it's simply an easy work around, the same one I used until I applied the 'beta' update, then rolled back. Now my unit keeps time but flashes 5:00 for a second or 2 until it displays the correct time. :headbonk:

I dont have to mess around with the GPS or wait seconds, it works correctly after setting an hour ahead... I feel bad for everyone trust me I wanted these 2 other units to be so much better but they're all kind of a mess and the updates are few and far between sadly

My time always worked fine, I did the beta test and it has some issues with time but it can be reversed; and they're working on another fix so we'll see how that goes. But taking a few seconds to update time is insignificant to me, the overall unit is a really nice upgrade and was well under what I had planned to spend. Nothing to feel bad about imo..

Happy to test that beta, if you have it. I wouldn't mind getting away from using GPS whenever I don't need to (98% of the time).

Waiting for more testing still as it seems to keep having bugs with the time fixes.
