If you end up hating the 2015?

This came up in another thread but I'm real curious what people will ACTUALLY do if they don't like the 2015 mustang. I emphasize actually because a lot of people tend to exaggerate or are full of shit when in practice they will do something else.

I was saying that I basically hibernated for 10 years when the s197 came out. I understand why people like it because it's based off the original but it lacks any imagination in my opinion and was another excuse for Ford to not bring the Mustang into the modern era. JMHO.

So if you end up hating it, what are your guys plans.....

Keep your current car?

Buy the '13-14 stang (or another year)?

Shop elsewhere?

I would buy another car. The most likely scenario would be a 14.

I just sold my 95 late last week (what a sad day, as the lady said it's not practical for me to have two performance Mustangs...), so I am presently ponyless. I really do like the 13/14 styling and think it's all around a great car.

But, when you're talking about rumors of the next model year losing a healthy chunk of weight, a new design and probably new tech (all things that resonate really well with me), well I really have to wait to see what is coming.

Well I loved the 13-14 design so I bought one. Mind you my last mustang was a 1992 GT, so I was in the market for a new one lol. Modern looking doesn't always = better looking imo.

The base GT is an awesome value, and has a lot of room for improvement. If for some unthinkable reason that I don't like the S550, then I'll get a GT coupe 6-spd track pack. In black, of course.

One option not listed here is to wait for a refresh. Definitely won't shop elsewhere since all the other pony cars are crap IMO and more than happy with my '11.

One thing is for sure.... im not just gonna swear off Mustangs for 10 years.

Id keep my current car for now and see what the next camaro/challenger looks like. Hopefully one of them produces something i will like since i am ready for something new.

I have faith the Mustang will come out on top tho... in design, weight and performance.

I will never go back to GM..been there with them and had nothing but problems and their quality minus Cadillac is not up to my standards. I had an 07 c6 and while it was fast, was built pretty crappy for the price I paid.

Will Keep my 05 till 2016 if the new Stang sux. If all rumors are true about the new Camaro I may swing that way. It should be a hell of a car, 3375Lbs, 445hp with an updated LS3 with tons of power under the curve and an updated 2nd gen IRS.

As always, many will claim to hate it initially and half of those will end up warming up to it. Rinse and repeat. A very small percentage will actually boycott an entire generation of Mustangs.

I will do what I've done for years. Keep the '69 as a weekend driver and look for a fresh new Mustang as an excuse to buy me and my wife a new daily driver.

Very interesting question. I'd probably end up shopping around, which would include a used '13-'14 Mustang as well. Hopefully the 6G turns out to be great, but in the event that it doesn't, there are more sports cars coming out over the next 2 years.

If the 15 looks anything like I think it will, that wont be an issue. If they fall short I will see if it grows on me...

If all else fails, I will shop elsewhere since I can't go another 8-10 years or however long the platform lasts.... should be plenty of good options into 2016 and onward.

I'm a :ford: guy. However, I had a Nissan 240sx years ago because it was a smaller, affordable, rwd "sports car" that was fun to drive. I've been wishing that Ford had something similar (maybe not quite as small). I'm hoping that is the case with the new one. If not, I guess I'll be looking elsewhere.
