I started with stock pads on my 2016 Auto GT, got DBA rotors and Hawk 5.0 pads but that did not improve braking much.

I just ran a HPDE event on Carbotech XP10s, WOW!!!
So much more control over breaking with very little to no fading.
Real track pads are a must, I'm a believer now.

They do get noise when stopping at a light so I don't think I can daily drive them but that's the price you pay.

I’m also a Carbotech fan. I use the XP10’s on the back and XP12’s on front. Next event I’m going to try the XP24’s

I'm curious, how are they in traffic? Would you be safe driving to and from track with them?

Yes, the XP12 and xp10 work fine in traffic. Only downside is more dusty than stock pads and sometimes squeal a little when coming to a stop

How are they re: dust? Want to upgrade and reduce dust IF possible.

Thanks!!!!
They dust a lot. If you drive your car throughout the week and deal with stop-and-go traffic, your wheels will get completely covered in brake dust. Would not recommend to anyone with silver wheels unless you plan on washing your wheels at least once a week.

I tolerate them because they're a great value compared to other pads that offer similar performance.

They dust a ridiculous amount, and that dust will kill the finish of your wheels if you don't get it off ASAP. They also are extremely aggressive to rotors when operated in DD conditions.

This.
Went to tail of Tail of The Dragon and my silver PP wheels were covered in dust. Figured I can just wash it the next day....nope. Most of the dust came off, but in certain spots it embedded itself into paint and I haven't been able to get it off with anything other than sand paper. No big deal since I plan on repainting the wheels, but definitely something to keep in mind if you like your wheels.

How can dust hurt the finish of powder coated wheels?

If it's paint, it'll get tarnished if that dust stays on. Just the experience of mine and a few others.
