It is specifically because of how capable the car is that I was able to avoid the initial car enough to not injure him or the other driver either and the contact I did make with other vehicles was absorbed by the Mustang and not us. I was going about 40 before I had to slam on my brakes so it was a fairly high speed collision that everyone went home from.

Same here. I had a drunk driver traveling in the wrong direction hit me head on. Both of us were about 40mph driving towards each other.I came out with minor injury due to whiplash. My gut says i was saved because of my Mustang(2005 V6) and a higher power

I have gone back and forth myself and settled on Ecoboost. Gt is a great car, now here are the reasons to get the gt and this is just my personal opinion. The gt is a fast car. Personally I think the EcoBoost is a fast enough car for street use. Now, I do like to drive fast and aggressive so I will get what I want from the ecoboost. I couldn't justify spending that much more for the gt and not be able to fully take advantage of the power. If ur gonna race then gt is for u. Another thing is the sound. A lot of people will say that alone is worth the gt. If u could live without that roar then ur better off w the ecoboost. The other thing is the stigma that will come along with the ecoboost. That whole thing about anything less than a v8 in a mustang is wrong. If that doesn't bother u than the ecoboost is for u. These are the things I thought about that helped me decide.everyone will have a different opinion. The ecoboost is gonna give me exactly what I want. A great cabin, great handling, enough performance to get my kicks, so now you gotta decide what's most important for you.

You are right. In the end, i decided that i really liked the Ecoboost only until I test drove the GT. I love the roar. Sure i would love to buy this if I would be the only one driving this. But my main transportation is a motorcycle and I would have to let my girl drive the new car. So, i decided to stick with the Ecoboost.

I live in San Antonio. 7th larges city in the US. Horrible traffic eavry day on 35. And am getting stationed in DC hear in a few months which will be worse. Have a GT manual would not change it for the world.loverall the power and torque helps a lot in traffic gets up a moving really easy. Don't make a mistake and get the i4 and wish you went big. I do think the ecoboost has a bunch of potential but it's a mustang. It needs that V8

Wow i lived in San Antonio for a couple of years(near the water world) and I never had an issue with the traffic there due to my work route and timings.

I have been in DC a couple of times, this is one of the places where i would hate the Manual transmission.

The question was I4 vs GT? Girlfriend should drive it too? If you don't plan to go racing, a I4 will do. I did order a I4 AT because I had an accident and "should" not drive MT anymore. If your girlfriend drives the car more often - AT with paddle shifter to choose.
If you don't need the PP get the 5.0 AT. You like to race - get a base 5.0 with PP and MT.

Now we are back again - I4 /5.0? :doh:
