Have you drove the EB PP, because it's way more fun to drive hard than the GT, I have the PP GT manual, but I dove the EB with paddles on track setting and almost wanted to trade! To very different things point and shoot, vs turn and burn. I will say I hate the crappy sound of the ED and that was the big turn off.

First thing I had to do was adjust the tire pressure cause the dealer left it at what it was on the transport truck 40 in the rear and 38 in the front. Now that I am at 32 all around I will see what kind of mileage I get. I did fill it with premium after I burned the regular. I love the pep it gets.

Personally, I have to work in compartments - financially then emotionally. First is financially. Once I know where I stand there, I don't even look at things that are over what I'm comfortable with. If I do, I'm in trouble because then the emotional side takes over. I chose not to test drive a 5.0 because I wanted to fully enjoy the car I knew I was going to get.
Haha - exactly what went through my mind. I had no doubt that if I took the GT out for a spin I'd change my mind regardless of trying to live within my means. That and I could not bring myself to spend the extra $ for a GT and not get one manual.

I needed an auto because I'd almost never get to enjoy open roads in the giant cluster that is northern VA :tsk:.

It's not driving like a madman. I do a lot of driving in NYC, and if 80% of your driving is stop-and-go, never getting above 20 mph and doing a lot of idling in 2 mph traffic, 20 mpg is unrealistic. Maybe on straight highway shots.
Well f-ck of course you aren't going to get good MPG. Just like the guy in LA traffic.
