I need traction :(

Now that the 6r80 swap is complete and I'm nearing the end of tune revisions I've found that low speed punches are now... a problem. As soon as the converter flashes the car is getting sideways.

Am currently running 305/35/19 MT ET Street SS. Would there be any real gains in traction by,

1. Going to a 17" rear and run a 275/50
2. Do a rear brake conversion, 15" rear and run a 275/60

Would those options really be any improvement on the street or about the same as my 19" drag radials?

Car is on coilovers and have the Steeda subframe brace. Past that stock.

Have diff and cradle bushings, but not yet installed

shouldnt be going sideways.. im all stock suspension and i stay straight when i spin.. have you had an alignment? its going to be hard to get traction on the streets but MT street SS should do pretty well.

Mine gets sideways when I punch it on the street no matter what tire have on , that includes my M/T 305/45/17 Rs .. When you are making power it happens ...

I added CB005 a while back and that help keep me straight when shit broke loose. Just added CB006, BMR Sways, boomba very links and performance pack contol arms. Car is more planted, never gets sideways when it breaks loose and helped a little with tranction but even warm NT555R's in 305 is no match for 1st and a roll on in second. In my best Connor McGregor voice "you're fucked." Streets don't hold power for shit...

Since you have a converter, you'll need more sidewall on the tire. Option 2 will give the most sidewall.

I'd go down that road to maximize wheel/tire options for street and track.

My car is a stick car but going from a 17" rear to a 15" rear made a big difference. Also going to a 29" tall rear calmed it down a bit more.

Definitely do the BMR Cradle Lockout and either BMR or Steeda Differential Bushings.

Before these downshifts could get scary fast, and the car fishtailed and went sideways easily. Those two parts stopped it 90%, now when the tires spin I just keep going straight. The difference they made still amazes me actually.
