I Need to take the original super sport tires off my 2017 GT350. I want to upgrade to Michelin 4S.
they don’t make them in 305/35/19 size for the rear. so do I go with the 305/30/19 in the rear and 295/30/19 in the front and call it a day
Or would the 350R sizes (305/30/19)(315/30/19) fit the rims better front and rear ?
The car is lowered on ford Performance springs so that should help with going to a 30 sidewall.

I don’t recall if the 350R wheels are the same width as the standard GT350 or not. I was thinking they are .5” wider front and rear.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.
i need to get something ordered asap.

I have the R sizes (305/30/19) X (315/30/19) also, but on BC forged 19X11 and 19X 11.5. About 24 lbs each. The one thing I noticed with the P4S is the ride was smoother, yet front turn in was more responsive, maybe slightly more twitchy as well. I used the R spec offset for the wheels. i think with the springs you will notice very improved performance response driving. I am thinking about doing the Ford performance sways.

yes. 4S’s are a big upgrade over super sports. I have super sports on most the other cars.

I’m wondering what the fitment is like for R spec tires on 350 wheels. Not R spec wheels.
the reading I did says the R spec wheels are .5” wider front and back.

You’re correct on the R spec width.

You’re totally fine to run the R spec tires on non R rims. I used to do it all the time with your same springs and it looked just fine. I don’t think I have any pics unfortunately, but I know people have posted plenty of pics on the forum in the past.

One thing.... Cup2s on R wheels are a little stretched looking, it's intentional. Switching to PS4S gives a little sidewall buldge on R spec wheels. I would likely not put PS4S R-sized tires on the more narrow 350 wheels.

Ok. I’ll do stock tire widths but 30/19 instead of 35/19

thanks!

I have a set of Signature Wheels that are R-spec size. I have 305/30/19 front and 325/30/19 rear Super Sports. I am lowered on the FP springs and I can tell you that between the shorter sidewall of the 30 series tires and the lowering springs, my front splitter scrapes on EVERYTHING it seems like. Be prepared for this if you do go to the 30's. I so badly wish they made PSS or P4S tires in the 305/35 and 315 or 325/35 sizes. :crying:

I know, right !
Sure do wish they did. Really odd they don’t. It would be the perfect setup then.
I’m on ford Performance springs also so I’ll just be extra careful and not get the R splitter I was considering getting.
bummer

Here is what stock width but 30 profile looks like on OEM wheels….
Seems to fit really well.
I would think R sizes would pretty fat on those wheels But I’d like to see

Aaron, that looks really good, in my opinion. The tire-to-rim fitment looks right, and the tire-to-fender gap looks good with those 30 series aspect ratio tires, apparently thanks to the lowered FP springs you installed previously.

All in all, job well done. Enjoy!
