My advice would be to do your mods in steps and decide after time if you need more sound. I installed the ford racing x-pipe resonator delete and left untouched the stock exhaust. Sounds deeper and louder than stock, it is subjective, but I'd say on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the loudest and 1 is with the engine off, I'd say the stock GT is 4 and the resonator delete is 6.

The x-pipe gives you more torque at higher rpm's than the h pipe which has a deeper tone and more low end torque. Either option is cost effective and you drop 15 pounds in dead weight. This is the way the GT should have been made but the 23 pound stock resonator was added due to noise regulations in some foreign countries. With the resonator delete I feel a balance of noise coming from the engine tube and the exhaust.

What I said about letting the sound grow in you, is that I am pleased by how it sounds with the x pipe and though I'm tempted to add an axle back I think it would be too loud for my taste.

I find it strange no one ever suggests roush exhaust? I think it sounds amazing and is priced at the lower end of most exhausts. I think I'm gonna go the axel back route with roush unless someone has any legit problems with the system.

I just pulled the trigger on the Corsa cat-back with black tips. After hearing all suggestions and watching and hearing sound clips, I just don't think there is anything that sounds better than the Corsa...... Was going to try the MBRP street series, it sounded good and the price was right, but opted out of Corsa on my last car and wasn't going to do it this time. I'll report back with my thoughts on Tuesday. It's due to arrive Monday.

,yea I agree corsa sounds great but 3 car payments on an exhaust is how i look at it!! I'm young and trying to save a little money so nothing more than midpipe or axel backs for now... or the mbrp street cat back is an option for the money

Roush axle back with Ford racing xpipe here. No drone at highway speeds, monster when you get on it. All for under 800 bucks
