Beware of idiots
The order confirmation will not verify if your R is an allocation. Call and speak the the GM of the dealership and ask if this R was allocated to them by ford or the rep. You could order an R and hold the order confirmation in your hand that is complete with an order number confirmation number. That doesn't mean squat if that R is not allocated. The only person who really knows that would be the GM because it came from the dealers rep.Can one of the members that got a R or has a VOC please send it to me through message or on this forum? I just got mine and would like to compare it with someone's.
Its never too late, but getting this confirmation should have been the first order of business before a deposit was placed. You can trust and hope for the best or you can ask if this is indeed an allocation.
If the car is based on an allocation, the rep will pull the order for a build. That could happen tomorrow, or anytime until somewhere in October. The manufacturing line shuts down in the winter months until spring.
Anyway, back to the point. Pick up the phone, ask to speak to the GM and ask that simple question. If he or she doesn't know, ask that he contact the rep for verification. Otherwise, you are in limbo. The order confirmation in your hands doesn't mean squat.
