Maybe he didn't answer me because I asked if he would order a GT350 and sell at MSRP.......:frusty:Yes, Ford gives allocations for all GT350's but these are not difficult to get since these are not really limited production. The bigger question to the dealer is whether they can sell one. In some areas these simply wont sell due to the demographic.
This is exactly what I meant. Hope the OP gets an allocation.I had a dealer agree on $2k markup on the R, told him to play the order and he called his Ford rep...no allocation :(
What do you mean by "waiting for approval now"? If it is a bona fide allocation, no approval is needed, you just order. It gets built when it gets pulled by the regional rep.Called my salesman today and he said they are getting several 350s which have all been sold. They got 4 or 5 last year. My car was ordered Monday and just waiting for approval now.
Not entirely sure. I'm going to call tomorrow and ask. What would I need to get to ensure it is accepted? What do you mean by "waiting for approval now"? If it is a bona fide allocation, no approval is needed, you just order.
If there is no allocation and you are trying to get approval for one..... well I wouldn't hold my breath.
Which did you mean? Thanks
THat isn't necessarily true. When I ordered mine, the Regional Rep had given the dealership the allocation, but still had to "approve" it once it was submitted. My order didn't get approved for almost 2 weeks, but my dealership continued to assure me all was good. I ordered in May and drove home in August. What do you mean by "waiting for approval now"? Which did you mean? Again, I am hoping for the best for you.
Again, its not an acceptance. It is an allocation that would have been pre-awarded to that dealer based upon previous sales. They should know if they were given an allocation by the Ford Rep.Not entirely sure. I'm going to call tomorrow and ask. What would I need to get to ensure it is accepted?
That's news to me. I think you may be referring to the order being "pulled" by the regional rep.THat isn't necessarily true. My understanding is that every Ford dealership that already had or will be getting an R model allocation for the 2017MY should have already been notified by now therefore of the ~500 cars to be built this year and next should should be pretty much all accounted for.Im no expert Tom, i just read up on it.
The dealer would have been notified well in advance if they had an R allocation. Both of my dealers knew a month ahead of time. Most are that way, other than Lottery cars where people stand the better chance to get a lower adm as these are sometimes cars that go to smaller dealers.
Like i said, im no expert but if they need to check and see IF they are getting an allocation then it doesnt look good. If they are just REchecking that everything is good to go then your fine. I just find it hard to believe they would not know they have an alocation this late in the game... again, unless its a lotto car.
