Didn't see an off topic thread on Hurricane Matthew.

If you are in the path of the storm, are you evacuating? What are you doing to prepare?

I'm in Richmond Hill GA on the East Coast. Predicted to be a Cat 2 hurricane when Matthew gets here Friday night.

We are staying. I have 4 dogs, 2 kids, a wife that has to be at the Hospital during the storm as a Nurse, and 2 guinea rodents.

I have everything tied down as much as I can outside. Tubs filled with water, coolers with ice, dated pictures of inside and outside of house. Flashlights, propane, candles, non-perishable food, water.

Hope everyone stays safe.

Palm Coast Florida here, on the beach side they are predicting a direct hit from a catagory 4 hurricane, up to 15" of rain and winds at 120mph, those areas are under mandatory evacuation.

I am inland about 3 miles and won't be getting the storm surge, the I-95 expressway which is about 2 miles inland was built as a natural storm break I am on the safe (west side) of it.

We are scheduled to get about 5-8" of rain and winds of around 90mph. I fear the power outage the most, I cook all my food with an electric stove and and electric microwave, both could be down for days. Also there will be no air conditioning, no tv, no internet and for me no internet phones ( I do have a limited plan cell phone.)

I took in all my furniture and plants from the pool lanai and put them in my hurricane rated garage, I also took in all the planting bed solar lights and the art I had hanging on my back fence, no loose objects now anywhere.

I have cooked myself up a bunch of turkey burgers and chicken breasts and put them in the fridge, I have also filled the tub with water and put extra thermos jugs of water in the fridge.

My other concern is the pool over flowing and the water coming in my back slider doors, my lanai drain works well but it is going to depend on how much rain we get.

The neighbor's kid parked his relatively new dodge challenger behind their house covered be their little back patio roof, hope that sucker holds, lol.

The eye of the storm should hit us (Palm Coast, F) at 2pm tomorrow afternoon.

Please pray for me and I will pray for other in it's path, thank you.
