I just want to reach out to our Mustang brethren to see how they made it through the storm. That was one hell of a wild ride. I actually live between Sunset and Opelousas, LA, about 20 miles north of Lafayette. Did not get as much rain as predicted. Only 2 houses in our subdivision that were facing east lost a few shingles. My next door neighbor lost a tree that his shed prevented it from taking out my fence. Helped him cut it up and load on a trailer. Lost power at 5 AM, so a generator is keeping the fridges and a few fans working. Most of the damage just out of our subdivision is limbs from older oak trees.
That said, Lake Charles, LA and Orange, TX are trashed. OMFG! Our business has a satellite warehouse in Lake Charles and the condition of the building is unknown. Can't get near it if we wanted to. It's less than 1/2 mile from Ryan Street which the news has shown pictures. I'll take wind over water any day.
I hope our M6G friends will chime in. I hope your home, family, and cars are safe and sound.
