Is it possible that its the front grill, the way the air flows through the hood at that speed? Or perhaps the brake vents beside the fog lights? Perhaps it resonates at that speed.

Similarly to blowing in an empty beer bottle, that's what it sounds like.

Just a thought. I might try blocking them off with cardboard, see if that resolves the problem. I just don't have time these days.

.
You hit it right on the head that's exactly what it sounds like

I made a friend of mine drive the car and that's exactly how he described it as someone blowing into a empty bottle

They hear the noise and agree it is a vibration. They said it was the tires and the rears are worn out (previous owner pealed them off I guess). I disagreed but needed new tires anyway. I got new tires and after my big road trip and then brought it back. They did a force ballance of all the tires did a vibration analasys and sent the data to Ford to look at. I told them the noise, vibration is still there. Waiting for Engineers to come up with next try.

I am a machinist and know what rotating vibration is all about and I knew right away it is the driveshaft out of ballance, not much, but enough to hear and feel it at 60mph. Ford is just going through a methodical approach, but in the end I know they will fix or repair the driveshaft.

i wonder - has anyone pulled their driveshaft and taken the thing to a driveshaft shop (assuming those exist).

We shouldn't have to do that considering most of our cars is under warranty. Why spend the money ?

Mine is a very very subtle vibration and some, like my girlfriend, don't feel it, but the drone is there for sure. I'll eat my shoe if I'm wrong with my issue.

I wouldn't think so, but idk. The service manager tried to blame my vibrating driveshaft on a wheel bearing at first also.

Quick update guys, so I dropped my car at the dealer yesterday, went for a ride with the tech that worked there. He heard the humming noise at 65MPH. He said he wasn't sure it the noise was considered normal or not. We then took another 16 EB auto out and no noise whatsoever. I explained to him about the driveshaft issue that is effecting a lot of mustangs and suprising he said he has heard of this issue with the driveshaft and that my issue might be related. The cars still at the dealer now , I'm still waiting for a phone call from the service advisor. And btw yes they did provide a loaner vehicle. I know it was an issue on another thread about dealers not providing a loaner vehicle with the driveshaft issue. Hopefully the issue gets resolved . I will keep you guys posted

Same issue on my 9K mile 15 GT /Auto. Just had the wheels balanced and it got worse, now there is a droaning like noise up front and it is a little like air over a bottle as mentioned, and it changes when you hit the cracks in the pavement. kind of like strut noise. My vibration is noticeable at 55 but I can slightly feel it at 45. At 60-70 the rear view mirror vibrates really bad. I've owned the car for 7 days and its been at the dealer for 3.

So I received a call from the service advisor from the dealer , driveshaft was replaced and the noise was still present . Now they believe the noise is coming from the differential , so there waiting for the parts to arrive , I should have the car back by Monday , Hopefully that solves the problem . I will keep you guys posted on what they exactly replaced once I find out
