HRN-AR-FO3 harness Modification?

Nope. Kinda exhausted with it. Warranty is over plus I just purchased the MARTS dsp. Hearing good things about it. Just trying to make sure I use my leftover idatalink harness correctly because our system is so "complex"

I can't speak to your specific model, but perhaps this will be of help.

I used a HRN-AR-FO3 harness to pick up the factory signals and feed them to a JL Audio Fix 86.

There are black and tan plugs going from the head unit to the oem amplifier in the drivers side foot well. I connected these two plugs to the F03 harness, then cut the harness wires to feed them into the Fix 86.

Did you connect the gray one. I'm getting a hiss from my speakers

I don't have it in front of me, but I am pretty sure you want channels 1 through 8 on the black plug, and the "Audio Enable" is the turn-on 12V to the aftermarket.

The grey and brown plugs are lines to the oem speakers.

Speaker hiss is going to be static coming from poor shielding on the AV or speaker wires -OR- a poor grounding.

The hiss usually comes from the fact, that people do not know that the signal from the ACM is in fact a high level signal, that in case of a shaker system is voltage reduced and therefor below the threshold of clipping.

This means it has a signal on both wires of a channel wire pair and not only on the positive wire like with typical low level applications.
Due to this you need twisted pair signal cables to keep the noise rejection intact and an aftermarket amplifier and/or DSP/DSP amplifier that can accept BTL signals on its input to keep the noise rejection functional.

My Audison Bit 8.9 was plug and play with HRN harness with 9 speaker car....no issues at all.

Have 9 speaker car...this is very important re interface.

I just connected the 8.9 wires to the HRN wires, plugged HRN into HU plug at kick panel, and 8.9 harness into 8.9. Nothing else needed. 8.9 in OE kick panel location.

Very simple and easy. This is why I love Audison, besides their instant tel support that I did not need but called re upgrade to AFC 8.9 that I was contemplating before installing XR1000 sub amp.

At first I was powering 8.9 off the HRN OE power, then months later, I ran power from battery while running power to trunk sub amp.

Seems like you're in kinda deep now to abandon current path but if possible simply to avoid aggravation you can get 8.9 cheap now because it's thought of as old but it's excellent. Tuning SW is initiative.
