Honestly all of this over 100 lbs is so inconsequential..the only place I worry about gaining or losing 100 lbs is on MY frame and platform.

100 lbs on a car that already weighs 2/3rds of the way to 4,000lbs won't have a huge impact on performance, both measured or perceived.

I think you are missing the point though 1320. If they did remove 125lbs from the already lightweight ATS Alpha, it will be an incredible feat beyond anything our generation has seen.

I am being 100% serious. If the Camaro's BIW ends up being 600lbs, it begins to rival the C7's All Aluminum Space Frame. There is a possibility they figured out a more efficient design. The ATS-V makes use of expensive aluminum and I believe some Carbon Fiber. There is a possibility they figured out a steel design that is far cheaper than the ATS-V. It would be something you or I haven't seen before.


While I would love to finally prove my case, I would also drop my jaw at some new Steel technology that is mostly just efficient in design. It would be something so far beyond what manufacturers are doing with Steel that it would eventually become the standard in all motor vehicles.

It is difficult to imagine a Full-Size Steel Unibody being the same weight as an Aluminum Space Frame, 2 Seat Corvette structure.

I've done research into Steel Nanotechnology that Ford bought into a long time ago but, nothing major has been seen.

Just looking at some of the bare bones pics of the 6th Gen, it is just Mild steel...

I don't think GM has the money for research like that Pill especially car line that's not high volume. Then with everything that's going wrong with them like issues with Vette , recalls and being sued.

So if the car is 100 pounds overweight, GM is a lying satanic beastmonster of death tricking the population into buying vehicles. And if the car weighs what they said it would, GM used witchcraft to create the car because nothing in our generation could possibly explain it.

There is nothing within the 2016 Camaro structure that is groundbreaking, revolutionary. No advanced methods or techniques have been utilized in the construction of the Camaro...
