COTUS shows that my convertible order was processed 02/02 with a green check mark and the blue progress bar running beneath it. Next, it finished Production on 02/10 with a green check mark. The progress bar moved half way through the Awaiting Shipment section with a green check mark, but no date listed.
It has sat there for the next 5 weeks, with no date displayed.
Over the last month I sent several emails to Ford Service to find out if they knew of any progress but was told it is "Awaiting Shipment"...which I already knew from COTUS.
Monday, I received a phone call from my dealer, who said that he had been informed by Ford that my car had moved out of "Awaiting Shipment".
But COTUS still showed that it still was Awaiting Shipment but the EDD which previous was listed as 03/17 had disappeared over the weekend but was not replaced.
I subsequently sent another email for Ford Service asking about the 'update' and what my EDD was now. I received a snippy email saying that "we already told you, last week, that your car was still Awaiting Shipment...and that they had no idea what my new EDD might be!
So my question is: When is a COTUS category filled...a green check mark or when a date is displayed in the category?
It appears that all Ford Service does is look at the same COTUS screen I can look at. If Ford says that a car has moved out of "Awaiting Shipment", doesn't that mean that the car has been moved to a railcar? If not...how can a car no longer be awaiting shipment but also not be in Transit. Or is there a Purgatory for the early Feb 'hold' cars?

What do the Status box check marks and dates mean? Each status box has a check mark. It will be grey when the status has not been started. Once started the check mark turns green. There is a time line that runs across the statuses and as a status starts the timeline will turn blue. When a status box is completed the timeline is fully blue and a completed dates will show in the that box under the timeline.

That's from the cOtis help guide. Should answer at least 1 of your questions

I've given up on the whole thing (COTUS). EDD has changed three times, sick of the suspense. When the car shows, it shows.

This could be me. Ford service haven't been snippy with me but the information they've given me is almost no use. No explanation as to why the car's been awaiting shipping for so long. My dealer enquired and apparently it's for quality control checks. EDD got bunted 2 weeks further down the road the same day but a few days later and it's still showing awaiting shipping.
