Correct. And it's also called the 'blend' date, which is at the very top of the window sticker (about 1/3rd of the page, from the left). It helps when shopping for cars on the internet. I wanted a very late build date on a 2019 Bullitt, and that helped me find it .

I don't think the blend date & build date are the same by definition. They happen to be the same most of the time, but not all the time.

I didn't say that. I said the number on the door jamb is the blend number, and it is. But it's considered to be the build date anyway, whether it actually is or not. If not, it's only like a day or two apart. There's another date on window stickers at the bottom, and THAT can vary by a week or more. On my car it was 7/31/19, and build/blend date was 08/09/19.
