I've changed out the mirror lights in other cars for LEDs and not been terribly happy with the results. They are so bright as to be blinding. Map lights are a definite improvement.

I ordered 4 ea LED vanity lights as well as a very bright reverse LED from Diode Dynamics. They are in the St Louis area and I am in a far western suburb of Kansas Ciry. Past orders shipped via UPS got delivered (if I placed the order early in the day) the next day, That is normal delivery time. This time all I got was a tracking number that doesn't show shipment leaving Diode Dynamics. I'm thinking that COVID has something to do with this delay but perhaps not. Oh well.

Just buy a CANbus compatible reverse LED bulb. I bought one without that, and it stays lit (at a lower intensity) all the time; had to remove it. Will order the proper one. Was going to get the DD one, along with the awesome LED rear reflectors (which I already installed), but were back-ordered, so had to get it from somewhere else. They must be CANbus compatible (with built-in resistors), but if you have a 2019, I'd ask, to make sure.

I installed the DD Stage 2 interior light kit about 2.5 years ago, really like the crisp white light of LED's. The map light enclosure and the glove box light were both a PITA, the vanity lights were easy. Replaced the trunk and reverse lights with LED's too, magnitudes brighter. Below was my attempt at before and after pics, I'm a not a particularly good photographer and didn't come close to getting the same angle with both shots.
