Any Ideas on how to avoid the clear tail lights?

I am looking at buying a mustang. For all of Europe and all other countries getting the clear tail lights sake, I ask how we can create other modifications of how we can get red tail lights without braking (see what I did there) any laws. I thought that we could put the indicator lights up next to the main brake light, above the rear window. I'm not sure if that would be legal. Does anyone have any ideas? All ideas are much appreciated!

i have learned, that under those lenses (no matter if red or clear)

there seems to be the same Hardware...

next: all those us spec Mustangs coming into europe via indipendent Dealers

and those cars are individually registered and fully legal. so you should get in contact with them...
i think they can get you those red lenses and make them fully legal somehow (still might affect your Ford-eu-spec-warranty)

Absolutely not; those are not legal in the U.S. All taillights have to be red, otherwise you think the cars are coming towards you.

I didn't say they would be legal. I just said they would be available at some point.

I am sure in time maybe members here form different sides of the pond can swap taillights. Funny how no matter what your car comes with, you end up wanting the other. People with red lights want clear and the ones with clear want the red!

I think they would be legal... BMW sells white line taillights that operate the exact same way (available for USDM retrofitting). It's a clear casing with white LED piping that illuminate red under operation. Do the foreign S550 lights feature a red running light glow at all times?

You can just buy some euro lights have have them shipped over here. I don't like the look at all though.

Here's how one grey importer in Netherlands fixed the blinking issue, they added amber aftermarked LED blinkers and disconnected the blinker function of the red tail lights:

This is a cool solution to get through the initial inspection and easily reversible to stock after that.

Not sure where the "clear tail lights are illegal in the U.S." came from. There's plenty of makers with clear tail light lenses sold here.

Subaru sold these atrocities and everyone and their mother wanted standard tails. Aftermarket stepped up and made overlays for them. Before going through all that trouble and cost of swapping, Id hold out a bit and see what pops up aftermarket for overlays. Due to the style of our tails, not 100% sure its possible, but I'd wait a bit anyways.

And thats the only country that actually get red tail lights and solves the blinker issue. Ford in other countries haven't even bothered with coming up with a solution

No we don't get red tail lights either. Like I said this is a grey import of a US spec car.
