How much does throttle get dialed back?

I have tried to watch some data with my Torque and forscan app. While watching the throttle position sensor I see it follow the pedal input then when I go to wot it spikes up to about 80% but then bounces around 60% Am I not seeing the sensor correctly or is it really pulling back the throttle this much.

the ecu does use the throttle blade positon to control boost, along with timing and bypass valve control. You may be able to find a field that represents the pedal position sensor, and not the commanded throttle position (sounds like what you are monitoring)

I was looking for both pedal and throttle position. I installed a pedalmax and wanted to see how much it amped up the pedal input. It is about 60% more if fully turned up. But I was surprised to see the throttle plate reduced much compared to pedal position.

The throttle angle isn't going to change, that is 100% controlled by the ECU. The only thing a PedalMAX does is change the translation from pedal position.

So if you put in 20% pedal, the ECU will read a 40% request.

It is not going to change the throttle angle at all. In fact, it is a waste of money completely especially if you plan on purchasing a tune as the same thing can be done with a tune.

Yeah, I got a good deal on the pedalmax for $125 and figured I'd give it a try until I get the nerve for a tune from you. I mostly just started to use the Torque app and wanted to play with it a little to monitor and understand a few things. It sure does show how much the stock PCM tune limits a lot of the hardware which certainly shows how much room is left for the tune to take advantage of. I'm sure I would love messing around with the Cobb unit. Not that I would need to adjust anything with one of your tunes but more so to keep an eye on the important parameters. I assume the Cobb is still significantly better then the other controllers out there. I'll just be looking for a safe tune for an intercooler with 93 gas. And for now the Pedelmax is all right. It certainly helps when in regular drive mode. Almost too jumpy in sport though. I'll be able to sell at a later date then.
