popped my hood to change my battery and noticed that the fluid reservoir is showing the fluid level well over the max line.

should i be concerned?

how would i drain out a bit?

I was thinking of just using like a turkey baster and sucking it out

Should be a drain plug at the bottom of the radiator, a hose going in towards your intake manifold, or you could do it by the thermostat housing. The turkey baster idea sounds the easiest to me though.

Are you reading it while the engine is still hot or is it thoroughly cold? It expands when hot.

If the engine was warm when it was over max i wouldn't worry, that's normal Check when cold.

If it's over the max line significantly when cold, think about worrying.
