First time I heard a real muscle car (69 GTO running a 455 with a monster cam) I thought it was a POS because it sounded like it was misfiring and the whole car was shaking. My dad told me to lower my voice and explained that car would gap the 289 mustang we were riding inI apologize for hurting your feelings. I understand I need to temper my remarks. Truth is, ALL major muscle cars made in history have ALL been noisy.
It’s a fact of muscle cars. But, if you’re a youngster you would not necessarily know that.
For the benefit of those looking back at this thread, please be aware that the more extreme performance versions of just about any car bring with it a plethora of possible mechanical noises. The quality these cars bring is embraced by few and intolerable to many. What’s actually a bit funny is some of the most amazing muscle cars ever built sounded like they were literally falling apart at idle. No comparison to the M1 which is a Cadillac in comparison.
