I found that the trans tunnel does get warm even when everything is right. It was easy to add a little extra insulation on the drivers side to help with this.

Thanks for the feedback!! So is it possible to add additional insulation?

Yes. In fact, MGW shifters include heat insulation to install on the bottom of the tunnel. That never made any sense to me since the shifter does NOT change how much heat the transmission radiates, but it shows you can add add insulation.
