I really have to pull on my hood release lever pretty damn hard to get the hood to unlatch. Just wondering if that's the case with others out there, or maybe my hood is latching too tight based on how the latch and rubber stoppers are adjusted.

My hood sits very well with the fenders and front nose piece, and doesn't move/vibrate/flutter at all during high speeds, so I'm reluctant to mess with it.

Mine is the same way. When I close it, I can't just close it gently and then push it to lock it. I have to hold it about 6" high then let it go to slam it shut.

I don't mind it being a bit hard to pull the lever, but it's plastic and cable operated, so maybe down the road something could break with repeated use. That's the only thing I'm concerned about.

But on the other hand, I don't want to mess up the well fitting hood or cause it to have high speed vibration/flutter by making the latching not as tight.

I don't think anything will break honestly. Overtime things will loosen up a bit and your latch will feel less tight. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes mine is hard to pull and I need to drop at least 8-10 inches to make the hood shut.
