Fell to the temptation of removing my hood liner for “more sound” from the engine bay. Found my cylinder head temperatures running about 10 degrees over what they are usually at (195-205 degrees to a consistent 205-210). Driving mannerisms did not change significantly. Ran like this for two days and put it back on - temps back to normal (I believe).
Albeit there’s other factors such as external temp and humidity, but I’ve never had temps like this before on similar days.
Is there a science-y explanation that I’m just ignorant of? Haven’t seen any mention of hotter temps in related threads so figured I’d post…
