One of the reasons I want to get rid of my hood and get a GT350 style hood is so that I see less of the stupid massive hood that blocks the view of the road and is pointlessly too high.

See less off the hood and I could care less if it vibrates a little.

Shouldn't be that much difference in height.
The GT350 hood looks lower is because the fenders are bit taller.

Posted in the other thread but ill post here too. My coworker saw a S550 Mustang's hood fly off a few weeks ago at high speeds. We had a tropical storm coming through and there were high winds.

She said the guy drove past her doing at least 90 or 100 and as he got to an overpass the hood flew off with a heavy gust of wind and the high speed of travel.

My hood flexes quite a bit so im personally always paying attention to it when im going fast or its windy out.

We have a similar word "snarky" which also means sarcastic, but has a caustic and condicending connotation. We have not had knickers for a century

Yes, a British accent works well here. Think how well it will work when the United Kingdom is just England is Wales - you will suddenly be rare and exotic:D

I was in the Royal Palace of Justice in London about 15 years ago over the 4th of July and Mr. Justice Davies asked all us Americans to rise and then told us you (the UK) did not want us anyway and e should sit down. He was being ironic and funny. But we appreciated his acknowledging our working on a holiday. Not sure he would have been so kind if he had been forced to watch the new Top Gear at the time:headbonk:

Have a good 4th!
Wales want out also, they are taking the P over us losing to Iceland
Well a Yank has just knocked out Djokovic, so Happy the 4th, or "May the 4th be with you" :D
As for TG get rid of Evans make MLB the main one and all good

I've had my GT well over 100 mph multiple times and have never noticed any hood movements. I know the rubber bumpers at the front are definitely touching the underside of the hood because I can see marks where they contact the hood. No hood struts either.

Try again... it is not all in the fenders. Look carefully at the hood of the 2015, there was plenty of room to work the hood differently and I can prove it.

I am not talking about that ugly pile of shit hood that came out a few months ago from one of the carbonfiber hood makers(dont recall name) where they spackled a GT350 style scoop into what is essentially a raised cowl induction hood on a stock 2015 style hood.

I have sat in both the GT350 and my own Perf Pack 5.0 while carefully comparing. And you know what? Somebody else was and look what they managed to create below.

Know how from the driver's seat you cannot see the top of the fender on the driver's side because that stupid style line(that vanishes on a GT350) that blocks your view? (For what it is worth I am 6ft 3in tall and dont exactly sit low in the driver's seat and still the fender is blocked by the ugly style line).

Yeah go look at the helion composites thread where they finally designed a GT350 style hood.

HUGE difference. The factory GT hood with that "hey am I a mustang, am I a fusion, am I a focus" style line from grill to mirror is ugly. And it helps to make the car feel way bigger than it needs to be by blocking the driver's view.

It is my most hated feature of my car.

Helion hood pics and the fact that you CAN accentuate the fender peaks easily. Are they GT350 fenders? No but nobody can argue with the fact that the hood sits far lower in places than the stock GT hood(proved by fact that you can see the passenger side top of fender as well) and helps make for a more aggressive appearance.

Apparently, we also can't spell.....(condicending ? 2 in 1.)

:headbonk:
1) never claimed to be able to spell, or type for that matter. Never expected to have my grammar and/or spelling corrected on a website either. But my communication skills have been good enough to keep me in Porsches and Mustangs so far so I will just muddle through I guess.

On my way home from picking my car up, I stopped twice to make sure the hood was closed. It's rather annoying. I've adjusted the bumps and it helped slightly, but not enough. This wasn't an issue in my 1LE, but that hood is behind the bumper cover.

Mine doesn't move at all and I've had it up over 100 mph..the hoods on these cars are really light. even though mine doesn't move, I'm still looking for a more aggressive fiberglass hood for my gt/cs ...my cervinis fiberglass hood on my 2012 is at least 20lbs heavier and doesn't budge at all. Hood pins are an option also guys, i always liked them on my 1970 dodge challenger 440.

Mine flexed pretty bad before I installed the hood struts. Now I haven't noticed any movement at all, but I've only had the car up to about 85 since the install.

twist on it a little harder and you will see it jump even more, lots of movement at 140...

My hood flex is pretty bad at 120. Specially in the middle.

My black 2015 never had the flex. Maybe more air is going threw the hood vents on the 15?
