I am a new GT500 (L0810) owner. I just traded my GT350 in on one yesterday. Love the car so far.

My hood closes but the light for hood adjar is constantly on. The dealer I bought it from has put in writing they will pay whatever the cost is to repair it, but I am wondering if it could just be the hood is not adjusted properly to close all the way for the sensor to pick it up. Maybe hood pins are not allowing it to close all the way.

Should I be doing the adjustment in a certain order. Example, turn all the way in than half turn each time till it closes properly, or is it just random adjustments? Are the hood pins also adjustable? The hood latch itself move?

This happened to me on my S197, had to lube the hood latch.
Not sure if it's the same for you but I figured it might be worth mentioning.

Make sure the hood pins are fully engaged would be where I’d start. The releases should be level with the rings on the outside of the hood when fully closed. If they’re still depressed a little, they’re not fully engaged and would likely mean the bump stops on the hood are set too high. Would likely just need to adjust the bump stops. Start at a 1/4 turn each and keep doing the same until the pins fully engage.

If the pins are fully engaged, check the latch mechanism. Might need a little lubricant as mentioned above.

Thanks so much for the link. I tried to search for something on it. I may try to adjust the latch as someone mentioned. It might be sitting too low or its loose and was pushed down when hood was closed.

If all that checks out, it might be the sensor harness or the sensor itself. The dealership should be able to check that
