Best in my R with headers full exhaust was 152 gps with braking at the 3 marker . It really hit a wall after 130 . The R8 hitting 162 mph braking early is crazy considering my lower apex speed in it due to being a pansy ( can’t mess up the shiny one lol) . Lap times are close but about a half second faster in the 350R due to my comfort with front engine cars . Mid 17’s Vs low 18’s in the R8 .Curious, what was your max speed at the end of the front straight at Roebling in your GT350R? Best I could manage in a GT350 was 144mph before getting on the brakes for turn one.
Was apexing 9 at near 100 mph and I upgraded to AP brakes and DS uno pads to do just that lol . Starting at 100 and late braking is most of the difference.I'm kinda shocked that just exhaust got you another 8mph by the end. That's pretty much slamming on the brakes so you don't get launched into a sea of Georgia pines.
Actually I found it was fastest leaving it in 4th everywhere except for 5th gear on the straight. Enough Tq at 5k in 4th to rotate it . If someone slowed me down I’d use third through turn 5 -6Hmmmm kind of a 3rd and 4th gear track in the 350 eh? Were you leaving in 4th braking into turn 1 then down shifting to third just prior to turn 2 it looks like? Can't wait to get out there again.

The ZL1 was on a cool-down lap..a base GT500 in front of a ZL1 1LE on the track.
