I am one of the 4,000 'hold' buyers. I have been very pessimistic about what was going on during the 'hold'. I always insisted that FR was going to ONLY fix the one QC issue (fire wall??) on the 4,000 and not spend any of the hold time double checking for any other QC problems. They were going to then ship them out and let the dealers try to fix any additional problems.
I have had several personal emails from new owners that were part of the 'hold'. They report obvious panel mis-alignments, etc...no better QC than the Mustangs that were not part of the hold.
My convertible is still in 'hold'...now with no COTUS EDD at all. I am assuming that some of the 'hold' vehicles (mine included) were so defective that FR is not sure what to do. Probably, just shove them out the door and let the dealers try to fix the defects, if the new owners notice them.
I am going to cancel the order, if the car arrives with ANY defects. I will then wait for the new and improved 2016s.

Complain to the GM and ask them to forward the complaint to the district manager. Ask them to place a brand new order as Priority 01. You will get your VIN within and week and car will be delivered within a month. No BS QC holds. That's what happened to me.

I would bet the holds are from lack of parts to finish like something as simple as an emblem. And yes the line would come first no matter if others where built first.

Took my dealer 84 days to do a 7 day repair job from lack of parts and a sorry service shop. Last part came in last Thursday 11 AM and service waited till 4:30 Friday to put 1 seat belt, but seat back in the car and program airbag system and where done at 5:25 to give car back to body shop. Took 45 Minutes. And Henson Ford wonders why everyone in this small town is going out of town to buy Fords. The owners are a joke and really seem to not care about the dealerships they have.

The body shop is great, service and parts made me dry and then laugh. Their slogan is one customer tells another and boy am I telling.

Reason for "Hold"

I am thinking the reason for the 2/2-2/9 hold is the "Sqealing Brake" issue.

Ford has released TSB 15-0030 to replace all 4 rotors and brake pads on Eco with PP and GT w/o PP built before 2/10 !

Maybe just a coincidence, who knows??

I've got a GT Premium w/o the PP built Dec 2014, and the brakes are dead silent. Is this something that start later with more miles on the car. Sorry, don't mean to hi-jack the thread.

Yeah, man. For me, it started squealing at around 500 miles.
