You heard a clanking type noise when it happened, but not while driving now rite (assuming from dealership not hearing the noise)? Does it actually have any bad behavior w/ normal driving?

Just put it on jackstands yourself & look at all the components, though I'm guessing the dealership has looked at & nothing looks broken. Best is you look yourself for any visible damage anywhere.
It usually happens in parking lots when I am parking or leaving a spot and turning the wheel. And of course I stopped to get some food on my way home last night and it happen three times. I even drove the tech around the dealership parking lot going in and out of parking spots and couldn't get it to make the noise. Really frustrating.

why is it whenever there is an issue the dealership always says the car is perfect????????????????????

sorry off topic but it kills me
Yeah it's really annoying but I guess better than them just guessing and charging me to replace a bunch of parts that didn't need it. I just wish I didn't have to figure out what the problem is for them.

And that's my point. They are supposed to be the best "factory trained" techs for our cars but I think most of them worked at jiffy lube last week

Update for today in case anyone else has a similar problem later and finds this thread. I took the car back to the dealer on 11/3/16 and was informed the next day that they were able to reproduce the noise (it has been getting more frequent) but still have not been able to figure out what is wrong. I will update again when (if) they figure it out and what the solution is.

Before suspension damage you're more likely to damage the tire as in braking a belt and getting a sidewall bulge or bubble, after that a bent rim, I've done both with hard and even mild pothole impacts. I assume they're smart enough to have covered the obvious.

Final update! The last trip to the dealership was unsuccessful. They had the car for a week and a half and replaced the steering rack. I got the call to come pick up the car and that it was fixed. You guessed it, still hearing the same noise.

I then went to Steeda in Georgia earlier this month to have all the suspension components in my sig replaced, hoping this would solve the problem. Again, still hearing the noise (no fault of Steeda.)

Finally, I called the dealership again on Black Friday and they said ok bring it in again on Monday. This time, the problem seems to be fixed! They replaced the control arm so I guess that was damaged somehow by hitting a pothole at ~7 mph.

So I am super happy to be rid of this god damned noise, I just wish it hadn't taken three trips to the dealer and almost 3 weeks of not having the car.

I should also add that even though it took a few trips to the dealer and some time, they did do all this work under warranty so I did not have to pay for anything. They didn't have to do this as I caused the damage so that was nice.

Thanks! I can finally start really enjoying the car now that it is in good working order. Can't wait to get the Lund tune loaded.

That's kind of disturbing to me that a car that can do 150 mph gets hurt on a pothole doing 7 mph.

Sigh. The noise was gone as of my last post in this thread but I started hearing it again the other day. The dealership told me that if this last trip didn't solve the problem there is nothing else they can do as the entire suspension has been replaced. I'm so tired of this bull crap I'm actually thinking of trading this car in. I would hate to lose the sound and power of the coyote but I can't keep dealing with this in addition to all the other creaks and rattles in the cabin. I test drove a 15 scat pack with 15k miles on it last weekend and the interior felt much nicer and no rattles. Sorry for the ranting.

You hit the infamous taco bell hole troll, he's a nasty critter, you will have to put it on a lift and fix the teeth marks in your suspension.

Its a a tuff spot to be in not knowing how to fix it. I would trade the car for another car & yes you will lose $$ but what price can you put on your peace of mind!

I almost did trade it for a challenger like I said in my earlier post. I would hate to lose the amount of money I would on a trade deal for something that should be able to be fixed. Plus all the money I have already put into mods. Its just too big of a pill to swallow. I'm going to try taking it to a different dealer and see if they can help. Hopefully I don't leave with a new GT and a much higher monthly payment lol.
