Do u drive the car hard? You won't notice a difference if your shifting under 3k rpm.
What's the point of getting a sports car and only shift at 3000 rpm all the time?

I dont but many on here apparently do lol. I shift up in the 4.5-5k rang ALOT.

The guy said he couldnt feel a difference between 87 octane and 91 octane. I said you wont notice a difference unless you drive the car hard

I use 91 on all of my vehicles because all of them have compression higher than 10:1 and I know when I put my foot down the engine will be safe.

I never said its not safe to use a low octane. But using a higher octane WILL make the engine run more smooth.

A more lively throttle response... is it worth it to you? It is to me.

I always run 93 in mine I don't want to chance mixing in some crappy 87. Some of the stations around here are known for having bad gas so I always get it from 1 of 2 places unless I can't help it.

It's funny that people think by using cheaper gas they are saving money. Not always the case. I get great gas mileage on my 2013 FJ Cruiser on ethanol-less premiumcompare to E-10 mid grade. The cost per mile is about the same so I am like screw cheap gas and ethanol.

ethanol free premium or ethanol free anything for that matter is not available everywhere. in fact it is a rarity (nationwide) to have ethanol free gas.

i have not found a single pump in texas that's E-Free. I've been much more likely to run E85 anyways.;)

We have several ethanol free pumps here. I was actually surprised when I saw the pumps.

Here in Nebraska, premium is usually ethanol free.
Regular used to be but then the oil company got greedy.

We have some right down the road from my work. Only 89 octane though.

all small towns in the middle of nowhere. texas is very big. the three closest ones to me on that list are about an hour away.

besides, I am over having ethanol free gas. it really doesn't matter unless you leave gas in your weed eater for the winter and then try to fire it up in the spring. thats not really an issue in tx anyways.
