Hi all,

I posted about this a while ago, but figured I'd ask about it again because I'm having no luck with Ford.

I have an Ecoboost Premium with whatever package gave the premium audio and BLIS.

Get in the car and turn it to ACC mode, mute the radio, and all the speakers make a background noise. Like a very quiet hissing almost. That's not the issue, I believe that is "normal"

Now if I stick my ear next to a speaker, any speaker really, and turn on the engine after a second or two I can hear a very high pitched noise come through. As if there's an interference of some kind.

This noise is constant: doesn't change with RPM, doesn't change with AC on/off, radio on/muted/off, it's just always there and always the same. When the radio is playing it's there, but often drowned out. During quiet pauses between songs I can hear it.

It seems the only variable is whether the engine is running or not. I have tried unplugging the microphone in the headliner and it made no difference.

Has anyone else ever noticed this? Would some Ecoboost owners give their car a listen and tell me if they hear it? I have asked friends, they've been able to hear the noise.

I have been to two dealers. The first dealer actually investigated it twice: the first time they said they didn't hear it, the second they said they kinda heard it but they also heard it in a roushcharged Mustang on the lot so it was normal. The second dealer said they couldn't hear it and even asked random people in the shop to take a listen and no one heard it.

After getting nowhere with the first dealer I contacted Ford Customer Service and they opened a case, but deemed it normal. The Ford reps on this site, while helpful, have only been able to tell me to keep going to more dealerships, which frankly I just don't have time for.

Really I'm just hoping to get some help from owners on here. If other people hear the noise in their cars then I guess it is just 'normal' and I have to deal. If anyone has had a similar issue and got it fixed, then I at least have some ammunition to take to the dealer. I appreciate any input
