In May of 2020 at the beginning of the covid outbreak all of the car dealerships in my area were closed down and I had just turned in my 2017 Mazda 3 5 door that I was leasing and the only other car I was driving was a very worn down 1999 Mercury Mountaineer with well over 250k on it. I called the ford dealer in my area (Kendall Ford in Marysville WA) to make a special appointment to look at a new mustang ecoboost, especially with the new High Performance Package with the handling package. The manager of Kendall Ford opened up the dealership just for me and he spent some time on the computer looking for any Hi-PO models available in the area and he found this velocity blue model at another closed dealership about a hundred miles away. About a month later and many phone calls later from my dealer to the dealer that had this one velocity blue model just sitting in the lot, the Hi-PO mustang had finally arrived at my dealership (remember all other dealerships were still closed at this time because of covid). When I got the call that my car had finally arrived I dropped everything and B-lined it to the dealership in my sh*tbox rattle trap Mercury to pick up my new car and I almost melted into my shoes seeing this spectacular mustang waiting for me. After I popped my eyeballs back into my head we finalized the purchase and I abandoned the Mercury for my new Hi-PO mustang and drove home in what felt like a dream that had come true.
