Nobody comes into my neighborhood unless they live there, and if they do they get greeted with a 1911 at the door. Scared the crap out of a kid knocking on my door trying to sell stuff for a school fundraiser at 10pm one night.
LOL - I did the same thing to a pizza delivery guy who came & banged on the door @ 11pm on a Saturday nite (he had the wrong house). There was a problem in the area at the time with home invasions, so I greeted him with 1911 drawn & ready. Someone got a cold, dropped pizza delivered by a kid with a load in his pants !

Ha you lunatics pulling your blasters on innocent swamp rats. Just keep it holstered and visible - they always see it. Always.

My cars will be safely tucked away in the garage. The Mustang will be in the garage with the cover on it

Seriously do people even teepee/egg anymore? I've never seen it in my life.

Just to be sure, my stang will be in the garage nice and cozy

Unfortunately kids have far less respect for peoples stuff these days than in the past, and it is only getting worse. A side effect of parents letting TV and video games do the babysitting.

My '92 stays in the garage -- however, when the punks mess with my Jeep in the driveway, the Stang keys will be in my pocket so I can jump in and scare the crap out of them with the exhaust and the blower. It scares guys in Camaros and Challengers, so surely it will scare the kids.

Wow, I thought Mischief Night went out of style and was just a "northeast thing" back in the 70s, because I have lived in various places in CT, NC and CA and have only seen/experienced it in CT. Man, my dad was ticked having to wipe soap bar streaks off the car windows the next morning. That was pretty much as hardcore as it got for us, except for the time my Big Wheel was found on some sidewalk up the street ...now that made ME upset :p

I am old. :headbonk:

People definitely still egg. I moved into a new town some years ago and both my car and patio sliding glass door got egged soon after. I didn't know anyone and surely couldn't have pissed anyone off yet. It wasn't anywhere near Halloween either, just kids being kids. I was pretty pissed though.

My apartment is in a nice neighborhood in the middle of a crappy area so there are kids everywhere here. Saw some hanging out a couple of hours ago but luckily it's nice n cold here and nobody wants to be outside

Mine will be safe and sound in the well lit, security patrolled, parking lot at work. If I wasn't working, she would be safely tucked away in the garage. Fortunately I live in a nice quiet neighborhood now, but the old 'hood was questionable at times. Even so, g/f is turning the porch lights off at 8pm to discourage visitors. Motion activated security lights will be on though.

Micschief night IS a thing in the Northeast I assure you. At least in NJ. They actually had an 18 age limit to buy eggs this week in some places there.

It will be safe in the garage... Our neighborhood is a small upscale subdivision with one way in and out. Everyone takes their kids to other places to get candy anyway. I know we are.
