Hi Flow cat long tubes

just trying to approximate how much louder long tube headers with high flow cats will make my car. I have H-Pipe into roush axle back currently. Any input?

I have American Racing catted long tube headers, and a Corsa Extreme with a double helix x-pipe and it's the loudest car street I've ever heard short of open headers on some old big blocks. Adding the Long tubes caused a significant increase in volume.

Spend the money on a tuner/E85 tune instead. Much greater gains for the money.

im tuned for the intake and exhaust sytem im around 460 wheel just wanted the headers to get close to 500 wheel on 93

Headers won't get you 40 Wheel HP. But E85 Will. You live in Florida, so I know there is E85 everywhere down there.

i know they wont get me all the way there just wanted to be close but they don't seem necessary at this point i drive the car often

Ultimately, it's up to you but with your current exhaust mods, adding headers and high flow cats will make it so loud that you will hate driving it. Also, if you have to pay someone else to install the headers, you are easily looking at $2500 all in (or 3500-4000 if you go with fancy headers). Who is your tuner?

Great. tell him you want an E85 tune, and be amazed at the power increase. Or, install the headers/cats and gain maybe 15 wheel, and drive around with shooting muffs over your ears.

Fair enough lol im building the car for tracks like robling and sebring which are near by so ill talk to him
