The guy that called me actually sent me pics of his drivers license, dealers license, etc. . I asked several times for a copy of the title to complete the purchase. Was promised a copy but got crickets afterwards.

Well, I did some digging into this. I checked to see if the website was archived on the Wayback Machine, and it was. They also have a YouTube account with some other cars and this supposed GT350 running that was posted 2 weeks ago. but its the same video from BAT. i can link the info i found if needed

This is really unfortunate - and while I know guys like us don’t fall for stuff like this, it’s crazy how many people do. Some elderly lady in my town just handed some guy pretending to be an IRS Agent $30K cash. Guy showed up one day saying she owed back taxes and she needed the cash by the end of the week or she’d get arrested. Came back and she handed it over. They then said she owed $40K more and that’s when she called the cops…but that $30K is gone. Shocking, but it happens. Part of me says, survival of the fittest and people should know better. Other part of me just feels bad for the elderly and low IQ…

Happened to my grandma too, luckily it was only 7k before my grandma smelled something was up. In our case, we had some family history that either the person knew, or got incredibly lucky.
