This is my first mustang and was hoping to get some help with this. I took a vid of a weird ticking noise that I don't think I've heard before but the car is only 500 miles old and 350 of those were from dealership to home so I haven't had time to listen or get familiarized with everything. Is this noise a problem or normal? The noise can be heard at the 6 second mark and 13 second mark. Thank you in advance for any help!

Ah, I hear it now. Sounds like someone hitting a xylophone. Sure it wasn't the fan or AC kicking on and off?

Hmm, I'm not sure. Does it sound like it could be? Sorry, I don't have a bunch of experience with cars. I did mess with the fan setting for the first time today so I guess that could cause it?

Turn the AC off and you can help rule that out when you check again. The fan kicks on to cool the engine when it reaches a certain temperature. The engine gets hot and the fan kicks on such as from idling for a long time. You can check in the morning when the engine is nice and cold to rule out the fans kicking on. It wouldn't hurt to check your oil level is squared away as well.

The more you run the AC the less it will cycle :)

That is a relatively noisy clutch on the unit though. but nothing detrimental like my BBQ tick. :amen:
