Help With Sync Update ...

Hi,

Well I know from fords website that there is an update available to 3.4 (unless the dealer updates that as part of the PDI), but what about the maps ?

How do I find out what version of maps the car has on and what is the latest version available in the UK ?

I did the unofficial 3.4 update 3 months ago, and i got the F9 maps at the same time, which were latest possible at that point.

Now that Ford do the official 3.4 update i put my vin in to get a check and it says i can update to 3.4 but that my maps are already latest version.

So according to Ford website F8 maps are the latest, because the Ford website does not know I have already done an update to F9 and 3.4.

Is there a link that can show me the map release ?

I’ve taken a screenshot of the online system telling me my sync needs an update as I can show that to the dealer, it would be nice to have the same for the maps.

Also as a non sync user, is there an idiots guide to navigate me to the screen in the car that gives me the release numbers for the sync and the maps ?

The Ford online system says if your maps need updating or not, a bit lower down than where it says if sync needs updating.


Off the top of my head, i think it is just go into main settings and scroll down to about, and it says in there what versions are running.

Tap on Settings, then General, then About Sync.

I was on the American page and it didn’t tell me about the maps - I’ve tried the UK one now and apparently the maps are OK
