I had the same issue. Driver's side front. Everything looked lined up well. Bolt would go in 5-6 turns and stop like it hit something solid. Threads on bolt looked fine. Blew out hole, used axle grease and chased the threads. Bolt went but had some resistance. Loosened it back up but no metal shavings. Ran it back in and torqued it. Very odd. Curious as to your theory Kelly. Something bent or misaligned? Maybe slightly off? Hope there are no issues with the integrity of this bolt.
It is just a theory. No biggy. ;)

And yes, same issue on atleast 3 of our S550 cars here. Driver side front.....

That said, I have yet to strip one. They always meet their torque values without the bolt yielding, thankfully.

Have you had to remove the bolt again and have it go back in and still torque? I want to order some springs from you guys but I'm a bit afraid to mess with that bolt!
