I have a 2015 GT PP. At least for now, I'm happy with 435 horses under the hood.

:headbang:

But like others, I'm not fond of wheelhop. Although I don't drag race my car, I do like to carve corners. So I've decided to go for the BMR lockout kit. Because the install seems complicated, I'm going to have a shop do the install.

Since I'm probably going to need to align the car, I might as well have the shop install anything else that is necessary to save having to lower the rear end again. So I asked BMR what they thought was a good upgrade path. Aside from the CB005 lockout kit, they suggested that I add the Lower Control Arm bearing kit (BK055), and the Vertical Link (TCA045).

So a couple of questions to the community before I bite the bullet:

1) What's the marginal difference between the lockout kit and the BK005+TCA045? Will I be able to notice a difference? I want to make sure since, with installation, it'll add at least $600-700 to this upgrade.

2) Does the Performance Pack goodies make any of these upgrades unnecessary?

3) I notice that there are three versions of the Vertical Link. Anyone have experience with these? What's the difference?

Thanks in advance.

I did mine all at once so I can't comment on incremental improvements. The bushing that BK005 replaces is a sloppy huge hunk of soft rubber and once I saw it in person I was glad to have it off the car.

The Performance Pack doesn't help you with any of these parts.

I went with the vertical links that are all spherical. There have been some issues with the derlin ones being squeaky. If you have any ability to work on your car don't pay someone to install the vertical links. If you can get your car on jack stands and have a metric socket set and a torque wrench it's about as easy as it gets. Do it before you take the car for the rest of the installs.

Ahh yes! Don't want any squeakiness so I'll stay away from Delrin.

If the install is as easy as you say, I don't mind paying a little more to have everything done at once, pretty much because I have nowhere to work on the car... and I don't have a torque wrench. :(

But thanks!

You will be absolutely thrilled with the improved feel and performance of the CB005.

As for the Vertical Links, the TCA045 seems to be the best option. I have had many users of other brands with Delrin, call me to replace the Delrin versions with our TCA045 Bearing Links. I highly recommend them, especially if improved handling is something you are after.

Thanks for the update. It seems that the Lower Control Arm bearing kit (BK055) is out of stock. Would it be any problem to install the lockout and vertical links and then install the BK055 afterwards? I'd prefer to go that route since the BK055 is, according to my shop, the most complicated install. This would allow me to get on with other mods (short shifter, for example), and worry about that in the future?

Would going this route cause any problems?
