Hello guys,

First time posting here and hoping that I can get a hand to figure out whatever is going on with this thing. Started it up for the firdrive this season, drove fine and quiet(as it can be) at first. After about 45 minutes, pulling into the driveway, noticed a high pitched squeal/whine/ whistle. Almost sounded like the rad cap was leaking pressure out. Popped the hood, no fluid leaks, but has this noise coming from around the supercharger area… seems to be vacuum/pressure reliant and it gets quieter under load while driving , but loudest at idle and screams when you shut it off. Please take a listen and let me know what you think! Thanks!

That’s not a good sound. First guess would be the bypass valve.

I’ve heard the same sound on this forum somewhere but not sure what it was.

Any progress on this?

Hopefully someone will have an answer.

Yes, I did end up figuring out the cause of the noise… PCV valve on the drivers side was wrong. Had 2 valves instead of the drivers side pass through fitting essentially causing a vacuum lock. Extreme amount of crankcase vacuum which was (I believe) sucking air through the BPV or EVAP purge solenoid. Unsure if there is any other damage or related issues with that yet , but I do still slightly a possible vacuum leak from around the supercharger or throttle body area. Vacuum is around 18 in/hg

That's good. What was your vacuum previously? 18 doesn't seem too far off. Did this come up all of a sudden? Has the PCV been this way for a while?
