So I saw a track pack today at the local Ford dealership. Does the track pack wing provide any additional performance benefits? Thanks.

You'll never notice the difference. Probably won't even matter for lap times for 99% of the drivers.

I wont pretend to be an expert but, I don't see it doing a lot over the base spoiler but, it looks good :)

It sure looks a lot better than the base spoiler. It completes the car.

Yes it does, it provides signifigant more down force than the base spoiler. And the R has more down force than the track pack
Spoilers have to be a balance front to rear. The R has better down force so the front was changed also. That is the reason I questioned the downforce of the track pack spoiler

I actually would be willing to bet it's not unreasonable although for normal drivers, not a make or break. Try sticking your hand straight out of your window at 100MPH and then slightly angle your hand downward like a spoiler would. She goin' down. Fast. The slope of the spoiler is pretty pronounced and the slope runs the entire length of the assembly. It also matches the contour of the rear.

The base "spoiler?" Yeah, I'd say probably useless. You'd probably get more downforce by sneezing upwards out of a sunroof.

I owned a GT500KR prior to my 350. It had the 6 cylinder flat spoiler on it. I asked why. Apparently Ford engineers found the standard GT500 spoiler was too agrees I've for the front. Bigger is not always better. I'll have to see if I can get an answer

I would assume that the track pack spoiler does provide more down force than the tech pack spoiler, which will make the car less likely to oversteer on high speed corners. This makes the car a little more safe for the less experienced or less talented driver on a track.

That assumption is why I'm planning to purchase one and add it to my tech pack car.

Its going to make a huge difference at the track. That is a good bit of stability going into a corner under braking, and ability to put power down exiting the corner. Only downside is its going to be slightly worse at the main straight dragrace.

As for the GT PP, don't forget they pick up a large amount of rear tire in their staggered setup vs the normal car. Also suspension changes can deal with any balance issues with minor downforce changes like this.
