nope on pedders you have to re-use the factory one but cut down its under the corrugated black plastic on the rear dampers
Well shit... let me go and check my struts and i'll tell you if the bumpstop is in them still lol.

Just had a thought if you've taken the boot liner up has something fallen down and knocking around in the spare tyre well or behind the tail lights? When I did my sequential lights I found all sorts of shit down there, I found a wax crayon haha

I've gutted it all, so no, and the thud is pretty substatial too.

Anyway. I've just gone and checked my OEM rear shocks, and they had the bump stops in them, i've stuck my hand behind my wheel (How i usually adjust the ride hard/softness). and squeezes the dust cover - there's no bump stop in there.

I've since removed the bump stops from the OEM struts and placed them to one side... I have no idea if any other pedders guys who installed also whacked the bump stop on theirs?

Could this be what's causing it? if so, why is it only on one side?

could be just one damper being just a little softer.

That said, watched an install video on CJPP for the pedders install, and they didn't moveover a bump stop:

(Go to 12mins 18seconds)

The only thing you re-use on the pedders is the top shock mounts and the bottom spring location rubbers, the instructions on the rear shocks mention nothing about using cut down bump stops.

Thought as much after watching the video...

Is it worth me just going and setting the rears from 5 from hard to say 10 from hard annd see if softening helps?

Doesn't hurt to try
I wonder if you could set the springs back to give you stock ride height and put the original shocks back on to see if anything changes???

Ok, here’s a question..
Does the thumb vary according to the magnitude of the bump or does the bump need to be a certain magnitude to trigger it at all?

thumb? no. Thud/thump/clunk... errr it's always the same tone, but sometimes it gets louder. It doesn't always occur over uneven roads but once it starts it just keeps going.
